The First Mental Health Congress “We change the Polish Psychiatry” will be held on 8th May 2017 in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.
Organisation of the Mental Health Congress was taken up because of a dramatic state of the psychiatric care in Poland and constant postponing of its necessary and systemic reform, which should be carried out through implementation of the National Mental Health Protection Programme.
Patients are treated in conditions that denigrate human dignity, while in many places in Poland, a proper care is practically unavailable. By showing determination of many environments, we want to have an influence on the reform of the Polish psychiatric care.
